Nic Rouleau is a real charmer as the tough-minded graduate assistant, Emmett Forrest, who whips Elle into a serious law student. Rouleau displays just a touch of vulnerability to make his character human, and quite a singing voice in his showpiece, “Chip on My Shoulder.”
--Sue Merrell, The Grand Rapids Press (Grand Rapids, MI)
Emmett Forrest (Nic Rouleau) stole the crowd’s heart with his underdog story and acts of friendship towards Woods. Rouleau and Bohne proved outstanding vocals, especially in duets like “Chip On My Shoulder” and “Legally Blonde.”
--Mackenzie Mays, The Daily Anthenaeum (Morantown, WV)
Nic Rouleau also shines as Emmett Forrest, Elle’s nerdy friend and eventual love interest. Their chemistry is beautifully palpable and holds much of the show on its shoulders, especially during the songs “Chip On My Shoulder” and the heartbreaking “Legally Blonde.”
--Dwayne Steward, Metromix (Columbus, OH)
