HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE:
2. The Nate Series by Tim Federle
A veteran performer of five Broadway shows, Tim Federle takes his love for everything Broadway, sprinkles in his one-of-a-kind wit, and what emerges is a smash-hit series of Young Adult novels that are by no means strictly for Young Adults. I speak from first-hand experience: I devoured them both in a matter of days. They tell the story of a Nate, a young boy from Jankburg, PA who wants nothing more than to star in his very own Broadway show. Will his dreams come true? Find out for yourself! Don't forget to pick up both hilarious and heart-warming stories: "Better Bate Than Never" and the sequel, "Five, Six, Seven, Nate!"
Jennifer Tepper is a musical theatre historian, producer and all-around genius whose love and in-depth knowledge of all things Broadway shines bright throughout her work. "The Untold Stories..." is a multi-volume series that gives you a one-of-a-kind look behind the curtain theater by theater. A perfect mix of history and story-telling, you'll hear from Broadway's most legendary performers about Broadway's most legendary theaters. Make sure to check out all three volumes: Volume I, Volume II, and Volume III.

4. "Ghostlight" by Frank Rich
This is by far my favorite memoir of all time! Frank Rich grew up to become the chief theatre critic for The New York Times for thirteen years. But before that, he was a young boy in Washington D.C. listening to Broadway cast albums in his living room. "Ghostlight" is honest, funny, sometimes dark, but brimming with a joy for all things Broadway. It's a must read!
